Surviving to Flourishing was created to help adult cancer survivors navigate the new normal of life after cancer.

Hi! I am Donna. I am a mother, wife, grandmother, social worker, accidental attorney, and now an ovarian cancer survivor.

Throughout my life my heart has always guided me to find ways to help and to bring others together. I have spent decades walking alongside and supporting others as a hospice social worker and as an Elder Law Attorney. After being diagnosed with ovarian cancer and completing treatment, I was blindsided by the wave of emotions I felt and had to figure out a way to help myself. I was lost and didn’t know where to turn. I knew life after cancer was going to look different and that I had to reinvent myself again, but I forgot how to start again and I didn’t know where to look for help.

Surviving to Flourishing is meant to change the countless hours it takes to find information and support about what life after cancer looks like. Whether it is words of inspiration and support, links to resources you didn’t know were available, ideas about what has worked for others during and after their cancer journey, or information about the common feelings and experiences that cancer survivors go through after treatment, this is your safe space to explore. Let’s figure out what YOUR after cancer life looks like.

The goal at Surviving to Flourishing is that you find something that gives you the hope and support that you need to put vitality and joy back in your life. Wherever you are in your cancer journey, Surviving to Flourishing is there to help. I am so happy you are here and that we are on this journey together!
